As part of the 2024/25 NYS term, Athletes In Need, in collaboration with the Charisma Music Foundation (CMF), brought participants together for a day dedicated to recognising their achievements and strengthening the relationships built throughout the programme.
The event
On 7 February 2026, NYS Phase 4 participants gathered at Molekane Lodge & Trading in Klerksdorp for the NYS, CMF and AIN Awards Ceremony and Team Building. The day combined recognition, reflection, connection and recreation, giving young people the space to celebrate how far they had come while strengthening their bonds as a team.

Recognising more than achievement
The awards were created to recognise participants who showed qualities that go beyond simply completing a programme. They celebrated dedication, commitment, leadership and support, the qualities that hold a team together.
